So last night was a bit early for me. I had an office visit with my neurologist’s PA. I like the new PA much better than the last. She was attentive, actually listened to what I had to say(I mean it is my body, I know what feels right and what doesn’t) and above all else didn’t dismiss my concerns.
I now have a referral for physical therapy, finally, after almost 3 years since my first surgery. However, the pain still persists, so they have recommended a “Bilateral Hardware Block at L4/L5”. This is in conjunction with the ongoing SI joint radiofrequency ablation that I am already setup for next week. They will do one side next week, then 3 weeks later they will do they opposite side.
I am not sure that I included the need to see a circulatory specialist in my last post, so there it is. Yes, since they have not been able to determine the ongoing fatigue and mind-numbing cramping/burning/stabbing leg pain as a spinal affliction at this time, it is now off to another doctor for another series of exams and lab work (which insurance won’t cover past $500) and pray that I am able to regain full(even 70% would be great) use of my right leg.
Well, that’s out there now. I never really thought about writing all this down. For many years my grandfather, bless his soul, told me for many years to write a journal so that I could write a book someday. Much to my chagrin, I should have listened. Sadly it wouldn’t have mattered, throughout the years of my life, I have lost everything I have owned more than once. The last being 2013.
I might attempt to jot down memories as they come to me, however, memories are not always accurate (especially mine, or lack thereof). In the meantime, I will continue to write a post or two daily, no matter my mood. I will apologize now, as I am not always the best in conveying my emotions, but I shall do my best without being “dramatic”. I personally have no love for drama, theater definitely, but that’s an entirely different animal.
For closing, I leave with this. I recently purchased a 2005 Impala. It’s the base model with the 3.4L V6. I know that I need a new CAT and it’s causing more backpressure than my engine requires (idles at 600-700) and hesitates on downshift acceleration. No matter I am happy with the fuel mileage if this is accurate. I have not yet been able to compare numbers, still acquiring data.
